The day is coordinated by the organizing team from RUN and the city as well as the participating organizing firms Aurich, Emil Holzmann, Gira, Schleuniger, Kuhn Edelstahl and Notary Dr. Britta Spitsparte and the law firm Lütgenau + Thunich.

In the run-up to the event, it was all about training: last Tuesday there was an information evening for all parents and students interested in the topic of training in the auditorium of the school center on Hermannstrasse. In addition, there were information days in schools on Friday and there will be again next Friday for 9th graders and for all school leavers.

On the ninth day of training, a truck of information from the metallurgy and electricity industry boarded again to inform the young people from there. A brochure with 2,500 printouts was also published for the training day. In it, students and parents can find all the information about companies, places of training and contacts. In the middle of the brochure is a general map of the company’s locations and the city of GGS as the central location for the event. In the RUN salute, the advantages of the day are summed up briefly: “This concept aims to demonstrate the opportunities that Radevormwald offers to the younger generation and to support local businesses in their search for suitable skilled workers.”

Mayor Johannes Mann also praised the day’s intention. “Especially in such difficult times, preparing for a long career is critical to young people,” he wrote in the brochure’s welcome letter. It should not be underestimated that the leap from school to the world of work is a very big one. As many short and long-term trainings had to be canceled due to Corona, it is now important that young people about to be engaged and competent representatives of the Radeformwald companies enter the conversation. Mann wishes all participants good and interesting communication so that contacts can lead to an apprenticeship contract or other professional perspective.
